Nollywood actor and die-hard supporter of President Bola Tinubu, Kehinde Adams, popularly known as Lege Miami, has bowed to pressure and admitted to the insecurity in the country after getting massively cursed by angry Nigerians.
Lege Miami had come under fire over a video of him raining curses on those who did not wish President Bola Tinubu happy birthday.
Meanwhile, the President’s birthday celebration on Sunday was dented by gunmen attack on Angwan Rukuba community in Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.
NPO Reported that the gunmen had stormed the community on Sunday night, killing over 30 people with several others injured.
Lege Miami’s video post after the incident had sparked outrage with netizens raining curses on the actor and relationship matchmaker.
The outrage was further extended to his dm across all his social media platforms.
Reacting in a new video posted on Tuesday, Lege Miami apologised over the previous video while acknowledging Nigerians cry over the spate of insecurity in the country.
“My apologies for the late video that I made now during the difficult time for families in the incident that happened in Jos.
“I just saw the video this morning but many messages on my dm, curses on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and my Twitter handles. There are lot of curses.
“I want you guys to know that we are all Nigerians, and we live this country together.
“I also came from a poor family. I’m nobody. I will speak for my people and I’m ready to speak out for you people.
“But only one thing I want you to understand is that I am never biased. It is security. We need more security.” He said.
The actor disclosed being urged by some of his fans to speak out over the insecurity in the country.
He thereafter called on Tinubu to address the insecurity challenge facing Nigerians.
“Some fans spoke well messaging me that Lege speak out. When you speak out, they will know that I’m concerned about the situation.
“Please Mr. President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, I’m one of your soldiers.
“Please we need more powerful security. It is not when it gets to somebody close to us before we know that something is going on.” Lege Miami said.
