Former Nigerian Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, has on Wednesday paid a courtesy visit to former Kano state governor, Rabiu Kwankwaso, at his Abuja residence.
Atiku had alongside former Sokoto state governor, Aminu Tambuwal, and ex-Kogi lawmaker, Dino Melaye, led delegates of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) to Kwankwaso residence days after his defection to the party.
The ex-Kano confirmed the visit of the ADC delegates in a post shared on his X handle.
He disclosed using the opportunity to express his gratitude to Atiku for receiving him to the party.
“I was honoured to receive my dear brother, former Vice President, H.E. Atiku Abubakar, and his esteemed entourage at my residence in Abuja this afternoon.

“Accompanying him were H.E. Aminu Waziri Tambuwal, Alhaji Kashim Imam, Senator Dino Melaye, Alhaji Adamu Maina Waziri, and several other distinguished leaders.
“I used the opportunity to personally thank the Wazirin Adamawa for his warm reception into the ADC and to reaffirm our unwavering commitment to delivering victory for the party at all levels.” He wrote.
NPO Reported that Kwankwaso had formally joined the ADC on Monday following the withdrawal of his membership with the New Nigerian Peoples Party (NNPP).

He had cited the need for him to identify with another political platform that offers the best opportunity to effectively change the nation as the reason for his resignation from the party.
