The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has denied a post purportedly issued by the commission declaring Nigerian content creator, Ijekwu Emmanuel, popularly known as Sabinus, wanted.
EFCC was alleged to have placed Ijekwu on its watchlist with a statement issued by its spokesperson, Dele Oyewale, declaring the skit maker wanted over alleged case of obtaining money under false pretence.
Reacting in a post shared on its X handle on Thursday, the anti-graft agency debunked the publishing the wanted poster of Ijekwu, labelling the post as the handwork of ‘clout chasers’.
The EFCC warned against the circulation of false information alleged to have originated from the commission.
