The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has finally unveiled the venue for its National Convention following the rejection of its request to use the Eagles Square in Abuja.
NPO earlier Reported that the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCT) had allegedly refused to grant ADC’s request to use the Eagles Square for the convention slated to hold on Tuesday despite acknowledging the letter sent by the party last week.
As contained in a statement issued by former Peoples Democratic Party’s spokesperson, Kola Ologbodiyan, the ADC were also turned down by the Ministry of Sport where they sought permission to use the MKO Abiola National Stadium.
Other efforts to use secure private event centres proved abortive as the owners of the facilities turned down the ADC over alleged fear of being intimidated by the government.

The party have however managed to secure the facility of Rainbow Event in Abuja ahead of the convention.
This was disclosed in a post shared on X on Monday by the ADC Vanguard, the coalition mobilisation wing of the party.
According to the post, the convention will be held at the centre situated behind the FCDA/AGIS building and near NTA Headquarters in Area 11, Abuja.
