The All Progressive Congress (APC) National Chairman, Nentawe Yilwatda, has joined other members of the party at his ward to participate in the party’s ongoing presidential primary election in Plateau State.
Yilwatda reportedly arrived at the Ampang East Ward in Kanke Local Government Area of the state on Saturday afternoon to cast his vote.
The ex-Minister of Humanitarian Affairs was warmly received by the party members at the ward as he joined the queue.
While the APC leaders had widely endorsed President Bola Tinubu for the 2027 General Election, the party however opted for direct primaries as another aspirant, Osifo Stanley, challenged the President for the party’s ticket.
Osifo was reported to have refused to step down for Tinubu’s emergence as the consensus candidate.
This prompted the adoption of the direct primaries across the country to determine the APC flagbearer for the 2027 General Elections.
