Zamfara State Governor, Dauda Lawal, has declared President Bola Tinubu, as the winner of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Election held in the state.
Lawal who took on the role of the Zamfara election Collation Officer announced the result of the election following the conclusion of the primaries in the state.
As announced by the governor, Tinubu polled a total of 321,579 votes as against the 42 votes of his sole opponent, Osifo Stanley.
Prior to the announcement, the Zamfara governor disclosed the total number of accredited voters which stood at 322,475.
However, only 322,472 votes were recorded.
“I, Dauda Lawal, the Collation Officer of the 2026 All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Primaries from Zamfara state, hereby presents the result of the state as thus;
“Total registered party members; 365,796
“Total number of accredited voters; 322,475
“Total number of votes cast: 321,621.
“At the end of the voting exercise, the aspirants score the following votes.
“President Bola Ahmed Tinubu scored 321,579 votes while Stanley Osifo received a total vote of 42.” Lawal said.
The Zamfara governor thereafter declared Tinubu the winner of the election in the state.
“This is the final result that will be transmitted to Abuja. I therefore declare President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, the winner of Zamfara State APC Presidential conducted on the 23rd of May 2026.” He said.
