The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has commenced the deployment of personnel and election materials to polling units as the 2026 Ekiti Governorship Election commences.
This was made known in a post shared on the commission’s official X handle on Saturday.
According to the post, the deployment and movement of the personnel commenced at approximately 6:15am.
Attached to the post was picture of personnel and materials deployed in Ekiti South West Local Government Area.
Several reports have also confirmed the arrival of INEC officials at polling units across the state.
Meanwhile, the election is billed to formally commence by 8:30am and end by 2:30pm.
