The lawmaker representing Edo North Senatorial District, Sen. Adams Oshiomhole, has accused Senate President Godswill Akpabio of braaking the truce between them by reviving the controversy surrounding a viral video that allegedly showed him massaging a woman’s leg aboard a private jet.
Speaking during Thursday’s plenary, Oshiomhole disclosed that both lawmakers had agreed to put past exchanges behind them.
He however claimed Akpabio broke the agreement by referring to the incident.
NPO Reported that Akpabio had during the Senate’s plenary session earlier this week made mockery of Oshimhole as he recalled the old video which the former Edo state governor had debunked and labelled AI-generated.
Recalling the incident during the plenary on Thursday, Oshiomhole reminded Akpabio of their truce, warning against further violation of the agreement.
“I want to report to this House that the Senate President and I signed a truce of no more hostilities, and the Senate President breached the truce by reverting to a previous matter. The truce stands; you should not violate it. I will not violate it,” Oshiomhole said in a light-hearted remark.
Responding to Oshiomhole’s remark, Akpabio offered a light-hearted apology, saying, “Let me first of all apologize to Oshiomhole if whatever I said could in any way injure him or make him feel offended.”
