Hours after shutting down operations, electricity workers have suspended their industrial action Wednesday evening.
NPO Reports reliably gathered that a meeting of the National Union of Electricity Workers which declared its strike on Tuesday met officials of the government and resolved to shelve the strike.
Though details of the discussion and agreement leading to the suspension of the strike were not available at press time, NPO Reports learnt that government officials pleaded with the union leaders to consider the plight of Nigerians and not allow total blackouts compound the issues.
