Governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has gone to calm frayed nerves at the Magodo Estate in Lagos over plans by acclaimed land owners to reclaim their land.
Trouble started again Tuesday when property owners and residents trooped out to protest against the invasion of the estate by hoodlums who were allegedly back some policemen who claimed they were sent from Abuja.
The acclaimed owners of some parts of Magodo are claiming that some plots have been ceded to them in a Supreme Court judgment.
They however accused the state government of ignoring the court order and continued to sell lands to unsuspecting developers.
The Governor of the state arrived at the scene of the protests shortly before there was confrontation between residents and the hoodlums.
He was accompanied by members of his cabinet among who were the Attorney general and Commissioner for Justice, Moyo Onigbanjo and his Information and Strategy Counterpart, Gbenga Omotoso.
