Hours after declaring support for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Candidate, Atiku Abubakar, the Campaign Council (PCC) has announced former Speaker of the House of Representatives, Yakubu Dogara, as member of the council with “immediate effect”.
This was disclosed in a statement by the Director-General of the party’s PCC, Aminu Tambuwal, on Sunday saying the decision was as a result of continuous effect in joining hands with Atiku Abubakar, to recover the Country.
“The Leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Presidential Campaign Council (PCC) wishes to formally announce that Rt. Hon. Yakubu Dogara, CON has been appointed as MEMBER of the Presidential Campaign Council with immediate effect,”the statement read
“This is part of our continuous effect in joining hands with our Presidential Candidate, H.E. Atiku Atiku Abubakar, GCON (Waziri Adamawa) to RECOVER our Great Country, Nigeria.”
Dogara had last week declared support for Atiku Abubakar as candidate for the 2023 presidential election.

The lawmaker representing Bogoro/Dass/Tafawa Balewa Federal Constituency had condemned the APC’s same-faith ticket of Bola Tinubu and Kashim Shettima.
The lawmaker led a group of mainly All Progressives Congress (APC) members of northern extraction to adopt Atiku as candidate for the 2023 presidential election.
