The Force Public Relations Officer of the Nigerian Police, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, has unveiled his elder brother who is a commander of the Mobile Police.
He gave his name as Akinade Adejobi who is currently an Assistant Commissioner of Police and is the commander of the MOPOL Command Ago Oyo in Oyo State.
He wrote on Monday, “This is my blood brother, my dads first son, ACP Akinade Adejobi, CO Mopol 72, Ago, Oyo State. He read POS, Law, a teacher who he’s senior police officer.”Saying in his local
language Yoruba, Adejobi said “Olópàá gbè wàá oo” which means his family has been blessed by the force.
However, some rejoiced with the Force Spokesman over his blessings in the force, some have said he and his brother must be beneficiaries of a corrupt recruitment system.
A twitter user, Senior Man, whose handle showed @beegname02, wrote “You are from a royal family,it is very easy for your family to join the police as cadet officers. Stop this picture you are trying to paint. Your command of English language is very poor for a force Pro. If joining the force was strictly by merit, you and I know the answer.”
