The Lagos Command of the Nigerian Police will prosecute the boss of the Lagos Parks Management Agency, Mr. Musiliu Akinsanya, popular called MC Oluomo, over alleged threats to the Igbo ahead of the coming governorship and state house of assembly elections slated to hold on Saturday. Commissioner of Police, Mr. Idowu Olohunwa, while speaking on an Arise TV interview Friday afternoon said investigations have been opened into viral videos where MC Oluomo have been sighted warning Igbos to stay away from polling stations once they know they are not to vote for the All Progressive Congress.

But on Wednesday, another video came out where he was seen addressing members of the road transport unions in Lagos. In the video, MC Oluomo was heard said that should an Igbo man become the Governor of Lagos state, Yoruba children would be molested in public schools and a lot of things would go against the interests of the Yoruba. Speaking, the Commissioner of Police said force cyber experts are working on the threads to establish strong case of culpability against Oluomo after which he would be prosecuted. “I can confirm that all the video clips are being reviewed. The statements, threats contained therein are subjects of ongoing investigation,” the CP stated
He added that while nobody is above the law, all such cases are being investigated as a whole. He said, “As we proceed, the facts are established against the provision of the law nobody is above the law in this country. Our existence is regulated by law and we are bound together by law.”
“The political process is regulated by law and nobody can’t be above that. If these allegations are established, you can be sure that appropriate legal and criminal proceedings will be initiated against the specific actors involved.
