No fewer than three persons have been confirmed dead in three days of clashes between indigenous Gbagi and Bwari people one side and some residents of the Hausa stock in the Federal Capital Territory Abuja.
NPO Reports learnt that the clash started since Saturday after a disagreement between a Bwari man and an Hausa woman.
No one could say precisely what led to the argument but it was learnt that the Hausa woman died in the process of the scuffle that ensued.
An eyewitness account said the clash subsided on Saturday only for it to erupt again on Sunday.
A business centre operator at Chimbian Plaza told the NPO Reports that the clash today has also led to the killing of another person.
”But I cannot say if the person is an Hausa or Bwari. But the body was dumped in the middle of the road until the police came to clear the route,” the source said
The clashes had prevented motorists from passing through the 3rd Avenue and some adjoining streets in the Gwarinpa neighborhood.
