President Muhammadu Buhari on Sunday said he is leaving behind him a legacy of electoral reforms that ensure that votes of Nigerians now count.
The president, in his welfare speech delivered Sunday morning, also asked Nigerians to forgive him for the difficult choices his administration made.
Buhari said those choices were necessary sacrifices fr a better tomorrow.
Buhari leaves the stage as Nigerian President in the next 24 hours.
He is to usher in a new President Bola Tinubu.
“I am leaving behind an electoral process that guarantees that votes count, results are credible, elections are fair and transparent and the influence of money in politics is reduced to the barest minimum. And Nigerians can elect leaders of their choice,” he said in the speech viewed nationwide
The President also boasted of the achievements of his administration adding that he is confident he is leaving Nigeria better that he met it eight years ago.
