Residents of Enugu, Enugu in the South_East of Nigeria have risen against the compulsory sit-at-home order by the proscribed Indigenous Peoples of Biafra. Matching through the city of the Enugu city on Monday, the protesters said the order has killed the economy of the state. They said they can no longer bear with it.
NPO Reports that IPON/ESN enforcers had gone bloody with violators of the order in different parts of the state with some cases of death and injuries. The Simon Ekpa-led IPOB faction had ordered a two-week sit-at-home, to commence on July 31. NPO Reports that the latest order had angered many residents who believe that the order had caused untold economic hardship.
