There was tension in Bayelsa state capital Yenegoa on Sunday as some Residents reportedly invaded a warehouse where Palliative meant for distribution were being kept.
The warehouse located in Kpansia suburb of the state capital is where the 2022 flood palliatives were stored.
It was gathered that although some of the food items had expired, that did not stop the residents from looting the warehouse. As of press time, the state government has yet to comment on the incident.
Some hoodlums had invaded a warehouse in Adamawa state few weeks ago and carted away stored food items.
There are fears over safety of palliative in different parts of the country after the Federal Government announced that it was send foods to all the states to cushion the effects of the removal of subsidies.
