Mr. Joseph Aloba, the father of the late singer, Mohbad, has explained that Yoruba culture does not encourage delaying the burial of a young person. Aloba stated this after condemnations went rife over the alleged hurried burial of his late son. The father stated this while being asked questions in a session shared on instagram by Temilola Sobola (@TemilolaSobola). “In Yoruba land, his corpse is not the kind to be kept when both of his parents are still alive.
“That land where Mohbad was buried is his only land, that is the only land I know him to have owned.
“Truly he gave me the land to build my church because we had both agreed to build the church there and since that’s the only land I knew him to have,” Aloba said. There have been outrage over the death of the singer as fingers are being pointed at some people. Already, his corpse was exhumed on Tuesday after a request by human rights lawyer, Femi falana, to carry out a coroners’ inquest on the artiste.
