The newly appointed Director General of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, has said that his agency is ready to take on its assignment promising to unveil a new work plan in due course.
The DG said members of staff of NOA know their onions adding that his two weeks of being in the saddle can confirm that.
Issa-Onilu, who took to his X handle to assure on the readiness of himself and his team said contrary to what many people think, “the Management and staff I met at the NOA are top-class workers who understand their responsibilities.”
He said the Directors and staff have built up enormous know-how over the years. He said this makes his assignment an easier one.
He said, “The Minister and I understand the expectations of Nigerians. We have clear ideas of how to deliver on the mandate of the agency and the confidence the President places in us.”
Saying that the team has put together a thematic national value concept having also constituted what he called a Technical Working Committee (TWC), the DG said he has energised the NOA structures in two weeks towards the new vision.
“The system is ready to rock and roll,” he quipped
He said membership of the working committee are drawn from across sectors and demographics, saying the committee has knocked down theories into practicable details.
He added, “The process of conceptualising our ideas has reached an advanced stage. We will be unveiling a relatable national value charter in due course.”
