The Chief of Army Staff General Taoreed Lagbaja has on Tuesday visited Tundun Biri, the village where air strikes killed worshippers on Sunday.
NPO Reports that the Army on Monday admitted that it’s operatives mistakenly dropped bombs on the village on Sunday night while on a mission against some terrorists in the area.
Though there have not been an official figure of casualties, there have been reports of as much as 100 lives that were lost with many also injured.
The Chief of Army staff was said to have arrived the village Tuesday morning and immediately met the traditional ruler of the community and other stakeholders.
Details of his discussions were still sketchy at the time of filing this report.
