Recall that NPO Reports has made reports over the recent political crisis in Rivers State between the governor of the state, Siminalayi Fubara, and the current Minister of the Federal Capital Territory of Nigeria (FCT), Nyesom Wike.
The conflict between the duo led to the split of lawmakers in the House, with 27 of them decamping from the Peoples Democratic Party to the ruling party, All Progressives Congress (APC).
President Bola Tinubu, in a bid to halt the rift between Wike and Fubara, met with the affected parties in consultation with the former governor of the state, Peter Odili, and others in Abuja on Monday.

Meanwhile, In a series of events that unfolded during the feud, parallel sittings emerged, an impeachment plot against the governor was uncovered, the Assembly complex was demolished, and a wave of resignations swept through the cabinet of pro-Wike commissioners in Fubara’s cabinet.
