There are indications that the hitherto muribound PortHarcourt Refinery is roaring back to life as some workers have been seen to be jubilating over its revival.
NPO Reports that the death of the nation’s four refineries had culminated in the importation of fuel with attendant high cost to consumers.
President Bola Tinubu had promised during his electioneering that the refineries would come back to life under his administration.
Workers have been seen in video congratulating one another themselves for the revival of the plant.
An NNPC official who preferred not to be named said that the company would make an official statement on the development later Thursday evening.
NPO Reports gathered that some top officials of the NNPC are expected to be in PortHarcourt today to see to the commencement of production.
