Nigeria’s Minister of Information Mohammed Idris has said that the current economic crisis in the country is not peculiar to Nigeria.
Idris said the United Kingdom recently went into economic recession adding that it would have been another story had that been the case in the country.
He said with the reforms being put in place, the narratives would change in the next one year.
Idris spoke at the 50th anniversary lecture of the Punch Newspaper holding in Lagos.
Calling on the media to support the Tinubu administration, Idris said there are many positive stories that are happening which the media must focus on.
He said few days ago, the President invited all leaders in the corporate and manufacturing sectors to the Presidential Villa to brainstorm on how to ensure the economy is stable.
He said the suggestions are sure to bring about a better Nigeria.
Idris said more investors are showing interest in Nigeria because of the emerging opportunities.
