Augustine Okechukwu, popularly known as Tekno, released a new single, ‘Wayo’, accompanied by a musical video on Friday.
In the song, Tekno utilises the Nigerian slang term, “Wayo”, to convey the concept of coercion and deception.
The word, “Wayo”, is a Nigerian slang which means to coerce or deceive someone into believing a false narrative.
It is the singer’s first single of the year.
The song produced by Shugavybz sees Tekno unleashing his vocals as he assures his life interest.
The musical video which features Nollywood actress, Uzoamaka Aniunoh, takes the audience through the streets of Lagos as they navigate the complexity of love.
Meanwhile, earlier in the week, the singer announced that he had partnered with emPawa Africa, the brainchild of musical impresario, Mr Eazi, to pave the way for African music evolution.
