Governors of the Southern states of Nigeria are meeting in Abeokuta, the Ogun state capital today.
The meeting is hosted by the Ogun state Governor, Dapo Abiodun.
Though, the governors had not revealed the details of their agenda for the meeting, NPO Reports learnt that the meeting was convened to discuss issues bordering on their common interests.
Already, Governor of Lagos state, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, said the meeting is to discuss issues concerning the Southern states as well as Nigeria in general.
Sanwo-Olu, while the meeting was ongoing tweeted, “I am presently in Abeokuta, Ogun State, for a meeting with fellow governors from the Southern Governors Forum to discuss issues impacting our region and Nigeria as a whole. The Southern Governors Forum serves as the collective body for the 17 governors from the South-West, South-South, and South-East geopolitical zones of Nigeria.”
