Former Governor of Kaduna state, Mallam Nasir el-Rufai, has been touted as the next President of Nigeria.
Abdullahi Yaro who is an aide to the son of el-Rufai, Bashir el-Rufai, made this statement in a short post where he posted a photo of the former Governor on a vehicle in a public place.
Bashir is the son of the former Governor and currently a member of the House of Representatives representing Kaduna North Federal Constituency at the National Assembly.

The comment comes at a time that the former governor has been going around the country meeting notable political figures.
EL-Rufai was initially nominated for a ministerial position under Tinubu. However, he was dropped from the list over alleged security and intelligence reason.
The dropping of the former governor was seen as one of the signs of cracks in the relationship between him and Tinubu. El-Rufai had worked closely with Tinubu to realise his ambition while serving as the Governor of Kaduna state.
For instance, the former Governor was one of the three governors who spearheaded struggle against the change of the Naira by the Muhammadu Buhari administration.
El-Rufai and some other governors like Yahaya Bello of Kogi and others and the then Governor of Zamfara state had gone to court to stop hardship being experienced by Nigerians over the change of Naira by the then Godwin Emefiele-led Central Bank of Nigeria.
