The website of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company has experienced glitch after millions of job applicants moved to the site to submit applications.
This was confirmed by the Chief Communication Officer of the company Femi Soneye.
Soneye had earlier announced that vacancies were available in the company urging interested and qualified applicants to seek the opportunities to work with the country’s petroleum company.
“NNPC Ltd is pleased to announce that we are currently hiring for multiple positions across various departments. We are seeking talented and dedicated individuals to join our team. Visit our careers page for application instructions,” Soneye had announced earlier
However, hours after the announcement, the site began to experience difficulties as applicants could not submit their applications.
Soneye, in an update he gave, said, “Due to unprecedented traffic to the NNPC Ltd career page from applicants applying for vacancies, the site is currently experiencing slow load times. Our techs are working diligently to rectify the problem.Please be assured that the application process deadline remains Aug 20,2024”
