Nigerian Athlete and World Record holder, Tobi Amusan, has failed to qualify for the Olympics 100 meters Hurdles final despite finishing third earlier today.
In her heat, Amusan reached the finish line in 12.55 seconds alongside Polish runner, Pia Skrzyszowska.
While she topped the heat ahead of the Polish athlete, Amusan missed out the third spot at the end of the semi-final heats to Jamaican Ackeran Nugent who also came third in her heat but finished in 12.44 seconds.
Meanwhile, Nigeria also suffered another loss following the disqualification of its 4*4 Relay Race male athletes.
The Nigerian relay racers were disqualified over lane violation as Team Nigeria’s medal drought in the 2024 Olympics continue.
