Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (LAGESC) has, raided stores selling alcoholic drinks in Lagos while confiscating discovered styrofoam packs.
In an increase effort to enforce the ban of alcoholic drinks in car parks and usage of styrofoam, the law enforcement agency had embarked on the early morning raid from Bolade-Oshodi to Abule Egba yesterday, confiscating discovered alcoholic drinks and styrofoam packs.
As seen in one of the videos posted on X by Lagos Commissioner of Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, the officials sprang to action at the sight of one of the stores, carting away sachets and bottles of various alcoholic drinks.
The second video showed the arrest of some of the sellers alongside their wares.
“During the early morning patrol from Bolade – Oshodi to Abule Egba, the Lagos State Environmental Sanitation Corps (KAI) @LAGESCOfficial confiscated styrofoam packs and alcoholic drinks at various car parks.” Wahab had written.
