Nigerian music promoter and socialite, Samson Eletu, fondly known as Sam Larry, has been hospitalised after he was involved in a fatal road accident along the Lagos-Calabar Coastal Road in Lagos.
NPO Reports learnt that the crash occurred in the early hours of Saturday when the vehicle conveying Sam Larry collided with a trailer.
The accident reportedly claimed the life of his bouncer, who died at the scene, while Sam Larry sustained injuries and was rushed to a hospital for treatment.

NPO reports that Sam Larry has remained one of the most controversial figures in Nigeria’s entertainment industry since the death of singer Ilerioluwa Aloba, popularly known as Mohbad, in September 2023.
Public attention turned to the music promoter after videos resurfaced online showing him confronting and allegedly intimidating the late singer on separate occasions before his death.
One of the widely circulated clips showed Sam Larry arriving at a music video shoot with a group of men, forcing the singer to flee the location.
Both men were interrogated and later remanded before being granted bail pending the outcome of investigations. They have consistently denied any involvement in the singer’s death.
Although the police concluded aspects of their investigation and filed charges against some individuals connected to the case, neither Sam Larry nor Naira Marley has been charged with causing Mohbad’s death.
