•Alleges Misplacement of Priority
By Halimah Olamide
BudgIT, a non-profit organization, has accused the National Space Research and Development Agency, of diverting from its functions.
This was made public in BudgIT’s recent report on X @BudgITng on Tuesday.
According to the data released, the majority of the capital projects under the Research Agency were supplies of motorcycles, dustbins, streetlights and training traditional rulers, and clergy.
BudgIT stated that the misplacement of priority is therefore costing Nigeria its expected progress, further questioning if someone will ever be sent to space.
“Why is the National Space Research and Development Agency, that is meant to be exploring the cosmos, busy supplying dustbins, installing street lights, handing out motorcycles and training traditional rulers?
“At this rate, will we ever send someone to space?
“Nigerians, misallocation are costing us progress. This should not repeat itself in #2025Budget”
