Three hotel employees were, on Monday, arraigned before an Iyaganku Chief Magistrates’ Court charged alleged N10 million theft from their employer in Oyo state.
The prosecution counsel, Cpl. Akeem Akinloye, told the court that the trio of Adeyinka, 31, Temitope Adewale, 32, and Ademide Idowu, 27, allegedly conspired together to commit the offences.
He said that the defendants, a manager, bar attendant and storekeeper at Blue Moon Hotel and Lounge, allegedly committed the offences sometimes between May and August.
The prosecutor said that the women allegedly stole the N10 million from their working place,
property of Mr Olawale Odumosu, their employer- an offence he said contravened Section 390 (9) and 516 of the Criminal Code Laws of Oyo State 2000.
However, the defendants, whose addresses were not provided, each pleaded not guilty to two-counts of conspiracy and stealing preferred against them.
The Chief Magistrate, Mrs Olabisi Ogunkanmi admitted each of the defendants to bail in the sum of N2.5 million each with two sureties each in like sum.
Ogunkanmi said one of the sureties must be a landed property owner with valid title of ownership, while the second surety must be a blood relation.
She, thereafter, adjourned the matter till Jan. 14, 2025 for hearing .
