Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike, has fired back at former Nigerian Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, over claim of being rejected in Rivers state.
Following Atiku’s remark on Wike losing his recognition in Rivers, the FCT Minister claimed that ex-Vice President has lost his place amongst Nigerians after his consecutive loses in the past presidential elections.
Speaking at the 10th Rivers Assembly held in Port Harcourt yesterday, Wike urged Atiku to go home as Nigerians have also rejected him based on his loses at the election.
“Assuming, though not conceding, he also lost so many times, Nigerians have also rejected him.
“If he say for election we did not contest, for election we did not participated, that shows that Nigeria has rejected us. It’s okay.
“But you that contested, and failed woefully, Nigerians have rejected you. Therefore, pack and go home.” Wike said.
