Nigerian-American born afrobeats artiste, David Adeleke, fondly known as Davido, has set a new record of the highest Tiktok Live viewership in Africa.
Davido had teamed up with Tiktok start, Habeeb Hamzat, popularly called Peller, alongside his girlfriend who is also a Tiktok sensation, Jarvis and Jo Blaq in the video.
The live recorded an engagement of 389,800 viewers with a total of 164,000 people simultaneously joining the stream live.
They were all seen vibing in the video with Davido’s music “Dodo”.
They also received gifts from many fans on Tiktok including 377 lion gifts which is estimated to be $400 on the streaming app.
This therefore reflects Davido’s influence and wide admiration from fans across the continent.
