Nigerian Actress and filmmaker, Rahama Sadau, has condemned the recent mob killing of Northerners in Edo State.
The actress aired her displeasure over the occurrence via her X post, @Rahama_Sadau.
NPO Reports that the incident involving 16 travellers occurred on March 27, when the hunters were travelling from Rivers State to Kano for the Eid Al-Fitr celebration.
The truck was intercepted by a vigilante group in Uromi area of Edo State who found some of the passengers in possession of locally made dane guns.
Reacting to this, the kannywood actress stated that she couldn’t bring herself to watch the full video, questioning the level of humanity.
She further queried where the authorities were, while the incident occurred, while also calling for justice for the victims.
“I AM ANGRY. I couldn’t bring myself to watch the full video of the massacre in Edo state… Allah ya isa!!! Allah ya isa!!! Allah ya isa!!! what have we become as humans please?
“Wallahi zuciyata zafi takeyi… where were the authorities when that happened? I’m sure it took them time to carry out such a brutal act.
“Justice must be served!!” She wrote.
However, some individuals reacting to her post condemned her while recalling the killing of Deborah Samuel who was gruesomely brunt to death in Sokoto over alleged blasphemy, stating that the actress did not lend her voice when it occurred.
“Wailer! if any other terrorists in disguise as hunters show up anywhere again be it in the South South or South East, they will be dealt with mercilessly. We are now teaching you bingos the language you understand better which is violence for violence no retreat no surrender” @ebelebecartel commented.
@ehimaggie said, “How I wished you used this same energy for Deborah!
“Your re all heartless!!!
“You never speak out when other human lives are gruesomely murdered by evil terrorist but because it is your tribes person..u found your voice. May this your voice be cut short!!
“Learn to speak against these atrocities irrespective of who it happened to . This alone will make you hv sense!”
@AlMuhaaz said “Show me your tweet when you condemn the same act that was done on Deborah in your region.. Fuu”
@osley1010 stated, “I totally condemn the killing, but my question is: These Fulani people kill and butcher people by the hundreds, yet I have never seen you cry like this, demand justice, or tweet about it. It says a lot about you.”
@SaintVawulence queried, “Does it mean the killing of innocent Nigerians by herdsmen in the south doesn’t get to your timeline? Or you only cherry pick news to react to”
