The David Mark-led faction of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) has released the timetable for its congresses and convention despite the de-recognition of its leadership by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
NPO Reported that INEC had on Wednesday withdrew its recognition of the Mark-led National Working Committee (NWC) of the party.
INEC’s decision would however be rejected by the ADC as the party insisted that its congress and convention will be held regardless of the commission’s de-recognition of the faction.
In effect to the defiance, the ADC’s spokesperson, on Friday, released the congresses timetable.
As highlighted in the timetable, screening of aspirants for the election will hold on the 7th of April while Appeal on the screening exercise will be addressed on the 8th of April.
This will be followed by the polling units, wards, and local government congresses slated to hold on the 9th of April with the Appeal on the congresses scheduled for 10th of April.
The state congresses will hold on the 11th of April with its appeal addressed on the 12th of April.
The weeklong activities will be crowned by the National Convention which will hold on the 14th of April.
