Super Eagles forward and 2024 African footballer of the year, Ademola Lookman has on Friday presented his award to President Bola Tinubu.
NPO Reported that the Atalanta forward had emerged winner of the 2024 Confederation of African Football (CAF) Men’s Player of the Year.
Lookman had at the CAF awards night held in December at Marrakech, Morocco, pipped four other contenders which include, Simon Adingra (Ivory Coast), Serhou Guirassy (Guinea), Achraf Hakimi (Morocco), and Ronwen Williams (South Africa), to win the most prestigious award in African football.
Following the end of the 2024/2025 Italian season where he helped Atalanta with a third place finish, Lookman paid a courtesy visit to Tinubu on Friday in Lagos.
Recall that the President had on Tuesday arrived in Lagos for ECOWAS 50th anniversary and commissioning of some projects in the state.
Meanwhile, Lookman also visited the state governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, at the Lagos House, Marina.
The governor in a post on his X handle lauded the Super Eagles player for his hardwork and passion while appreciating him for flying the country’s flag high.
