Following the launch of a new book by former Jigsaw State Governor, Sule Lamido, activist and 2023 Presidential Candidate of the African Action Congress (AAC), Omoyele Sowore, has criticized what he described as “ruining class” of writing fake books.
He made the assertion in an X tweet on Wednesday.
“Nigeria’s Ruining Class’s Latest Pastime Is Writing and Launching Fake Books” He wrote.
His statement was in response to the recent unveiling of Lamido’s book titled, “Being True to Myself,” chronicles Lamido’s life and political journey.
NPO also reports that on the 25th of February, 2025, Ibrahim Babangida’s launched a book titled “A Journey in Service”, at the Congress Hall of the Transcorp Hilton Hotel in Abuja. The event also served as a fundraiser for the IBB Presidential Library
Similarly, ex-President Goodluck Jonathan had also in 2024, penned down a memoir titled: “My Transition Hours”.
The book sought to blend personal and political insights to shed light on Nigeria’s recent history. He also reflected on the choices that defined his presidency, he opens up about his legacy and the personal sacrifices made for peace and national stability.
