The All Progressive Congress Presidential Campaign Council on Tuesday hinted of a possible reversal of the deadline for legal tender status of the N1000 and N500 notes in the country.
Amidst uncertainties of the sitting of the Supreme Court slated for Wednesday, the APC-PCC in a post on Tuesday said the Federal Government and the governors that dragged it to the Supreme Court may have settled for May 1 as the new deadline for the old Naira to stop being legal tenders.
The party said there will be an out of court settlement on the matter after series of meetings.

“The settlement sees the old N200, N500 and N1000 notes in circulation till May 1.” the party campaign council stated.
The date announced tallies with the one posted in a statement earlier credited to the Central Bank of Nigeria which was posted on her social media pages by the wife of the President, Mrs. Aisha Buhari.
The CBN however tagged her post as fake news.
The First Lady pulled down her earlier post on the matter.
