Armed robbers have killed a retired Nigerian Army General, Harold Udokwere in Abuja.
Udokwere, who retired from the Army as a Brigadier General was murdered at the Kubusa area of the Federal Capital Territory on Saturday.
It was gathered that the armed robbers had gained access into Udokwere’s residence through the fence backing the expressway.
His house is said to be No 1 Sanga Street, Sunshine Homes by Kabusa Junction at Lokogoma Abuja.
It was also learnt that it was about the fourth time Udokwere’s residence came under attack by the armed robbers who came at about 3am.
Before Saturday’s incident, his power generator was said to have been stolen.
During Saturday’s robbery, the armed robbers were said to have demanded for the jwellery of his wife and his service pistol.
According to the claims by the wife, it was after demanding for the service pistol that she heard a gun shot in the room.
The killing of Udokwere raises further fears over the insecurity at the Federal Capital Territory and many parts of the country.
