The All Progressive Congress (APC) National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, has slammed former Nigerian Vice President, Atiku Abubakar, over his allegations against the ruling party, labelling them as excuse for the failure of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
As against Atiku’s allegations that President Bola Tinubu is bribing opposition leaders to destabilize parties, Morka dismissed the claims.
He held that the APC is rather sorting its own internal affairs rather than interfering in the other parties’s issues.
Coupled with the disclaimer he initially released following Atiku’s allegations, Morka faulted the PDP’s inability to solve its own internal crisis while speaking during an interview on Arise TV on Wednesday.
He charged the opposition party to emulate the APC in sorting its internal issues.
“That is utterly bogus. It’s not enough to make headline allegations without providing an evidence to substantiate those allegations. All the claims made by the former Vice President on this matter, you know I just made conjecture.
“He is making excuses for the failure of its party to get its acts together. And the PDP is imploding which is clear to everyone. It is not because of APC or what the APC has done. As a matter of fact, APC is doing nothing.
“We are busy minding our business and worrying about our own matters, sorting our own internal issues, building cohesion and preparing for whatever contest that may come.
“The PDP should do the same. They should focus on the internal problems. Unfotunately, Atiku Abubakar and those in the PDP prefer to simply point fingers, accusing the APC of attempting to destabilze the PDP. We are doing no such thing.” Morka said.
While stressing that the PDP’s incompetence to manage its internal affairs showed its incapability of governing Nigeria, the APC spokesperson expressed disappointment in former Kaduna State governor, Nasir El-Rufai, who had alongside Atiku and the Labour Party 2023 Presidential candidate, Peter Obi, accused the ruling party at a recent conference.
“The PDP has proven to be completely unable and utterly incompetent to manage their own internal affairs.
“How then do they begin as a tool to tout themselves capable of governing Nigeria when they cannot even manage their own very little small internal issues.
“Look the former Vice President is an elder statesman. When you come out to make allegations, you should back it up with evidence.
“We expect so much more from Alhaji Atiku Abubakar from what we are seeing.
“So it is truly pitiful that himself and others with him, Peter Obi, and unfortunately for that matter, our dear friend, El-Rufai, will make comments that suggests that APC is doing something towards destablizing the PDP or Labour Party or other parties. We are doing no such thing.” Morka added.
