The Ondo State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal has fixed June 4, to deliver judgment in the petitions filed against the Nov. 16 governorship election in the state. The three-man panel headed by Justice Benson Ogbu, announced the date on Saturday in Akure after all parties adopted their final written addresses. Other members of the tribunal are Justice Imelda Etape and Justice Sikka Duarabo. The Nigerian police has secured the extradition of a Nigerian fugitive, Abubakar Aboki Muhammed, from the United Arab Emirates over a multi-million dollar fraud case. This was contained in a statement by the Force Public Relations Officer, Olumuyiwa Adejobi, on Saturday. He disclosed that Muhammed was extradited on Friday, May 23, 2025. A U.S. federal judge on Thursday ruled that the administration of President Donald Trump has violated an earlier court order by attempting to deport migrants to South Sudan.
