The absence of Justice Bayo Taiwo of the Oyo State High Court in Ibadan, has on Wednesday, stalled the hearing in a murder trial of a former Chairman, Oyo State Park Management System, Mukaila Lamidi, popularly called Auxiliary. Consequently, the matter, which was slated for adoption of addresses in the trial-within-trial, had to be adjourned untill June 11. The Minister of Works, Mr. Dave Umahi, has announced that President Bola Tinubu will inaugurate a 30-kilometer, over 70 per cent completed portion of Section One of the Lagos-Calabar coastal highway before May 25. The Federal Ministry of Finance has clarified that no contract was awarded without strictly adhering to due process and existing procurement regulations. This is contained in a statement issued in Abuja on Monday by Mr Mohammed Manga, Director of Information and Public Relations at the Ministry. The Abuja Metropolitan Management Council (AMMC) of the Federal Capital Territory Administration (FCTA) has ordered the demolition of 24 two-storey buildings illegally constructed on a waterway in Guzape District, Abuja.
