President Bola Tinubu on Tuesday inaugurated the construction of Phase 2B of the access road to the Second Niger Bridge in Onitsha. The Police Command in Rivers has confirmed the neutralisation of an unspecified number of suspected vandals attempting to vandalize a pipeline in the Aluu and Rumuekpe communities, Rivers. The Ebonyi Government has confirmed the detention of one Emmanuel Acha over alleged offensive comments against security operatives in the state. This is contained in a statement by DSC Daniel Aidamenbor, spokesperson for the command and made available to newsmen on Tuesday in Akure. The Nigerian Customs Service, has apprehended a suspected wild life trafficker with 346 rare bird heads and other animal specimens in Cross River. Gabriel Ogbonna, the Area Controller, Cross River/Calabar Free Trade Zone and Akwa Ibom Area Command, made the disclosure on Monday in Calabar. Ogbonna said that the suspect, Bello Abubakar was apprehended at the Mfun/Ekok Joint Border Station of the command on March 12.
