Agency Report Gov. Biodun Oyebanji of Ekiti on Monday swore in Justice Lekan Ogunmoye as the state acting Chief Judge. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Ogunmoye’s inauguration was sequel to the passing away of the chief judge, Justice Oyewole Adeyeye, on Nov. 4. No fewer than three people have died and many others have been injured following an accident involving a Dangote Cement truck in Lagos. The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Mr Nyesom Wike, has vowed to demolish all shanties that pose security threats to the residents of the territory. Wike made the declaration on Sunday evening in Abuja, when he inspected demolished shanties called Ruga, at Wuye, behind Finance Quarters, harbouring more than 10,000 illegal occupants. The Nigeria Labour Congress has given state governments an ultimatum of Dec. 1, to implement the new minimum wage. The NLC made this known on Sunday in a communique signed by its President, Mr Joe Ajaero at the end of its National Executive Council (NEC) meeting, held in Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
