Lawyer, Deji Adeyanju, alongside social media activist, Vincent Martins Otse, fondly known as Very Dark Man, on Friday led the protest with Abuja residents, demanding a halt to the mass demolition by the Federal Capital Territory Minister, Nyesom Wike. The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau (NSIB), in collaboration with other Search and Recovery partners has recovered the Flight Data Recorder (FDR) and Cockpit Voice Recorder (CVR) from the ditched Sikorsky SK76 helicopter. Operatives of the Enugu Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, (EFCC), have arrested two Chinese siblings over their alleged involvement in illegal dealings with some solid minerals. Barely a month in office, newly-elected Chairman of Ogbaru Local Government in Anambra State, Franklin Ikechukwu Nwadialo, has been arrested in the United State. He was arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), on charges of internet fraud which is attributed to his alleged involvement in a romance scam that defrauded several victims of over $2 million. The Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has on the recommendations of the Advisory Council on Prerogative of Mercy, approved the release of 55 inmates from various correctional facilities across the State. A statement signed by the State Attorney-General and Commissioner for Justice, Mr. Lawal Pedro, SAN, said the order was for the immediate release of 40 inmates while others are to be released after serving additional terms of between three – six months.
