The Executive Secretary of the Lagos State Scholarship Board, Abdulrahman Lekki is dead. His passing was announced on Wednesday by the Office of the Lagos State Head of Service. According to the statement, Lekki died after a brief illness in the early hours of today. Operatives of the Benin Zonal Directorate of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), have arrested 25 suspected internet fraudsters in Benin City. This was contained in an X post via the anti graft agency’s handle. The suspect’s were arrested on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 at different locations in the city. According to the post, they were arrested based on credible intelligence on their alleged involvement in internet related fraud. Some items recovered from them include eight exotic cars, laptops and phones “They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.” The post read.

The Police Command in Imo has successfully foiled an attack on Tuesdy by suspected members of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed wing, Eastern Security Network (ESN). The House of Representatives Public Accounts Committee (PAC) on Tuesday, has opened investigation into alleged abandoned Gidanwaya-Guaran Dutse-Waman Rafi-Saminaka-Kano road project in Kaduna state worth N1.46 billion. The committee registered its displeasure during an investigative hearing on Tuesday in Abuja while quizzing the Permanent Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Works, Dr Yakubu Adam on the project. The Ogun State Government has shut down Obada Grammar School, Obada, Idi-emi over the death of Master Monday Arijo, an SS2 student of the school. This was contained in a release made available to NPO Reports on Tuesday. NPO reports that Arijo died after being hospitalised following his collapse when he was asked to perform 162 frog jumps and beaten 24 strokes of the cane.
