The World Health Organisation (WHO) has warned that the African Region may face a staggering shortage of 5.3 million health professionals by 2030 if urgent interventions are not implemented to address the existing gaps. Dr Muyiwa Ojo, Technical Officer for Human Resources for Health at WHO, made this startling revelation in Abuja on Thursday, during a health journalist capacity-building workshop. Agency Report Nigerian-British bodybuilder, Samson Dauda, has won the 2024 Mr Olympia bodybuilding title. He also took home $600,000, which is the biggest prize awarded in the sports history. The Lagos State Police Command has confimed the death of a 50-year old man who was crushed by a train in the Oshodi area of the State. This was contained in a statement by the Police Command Spokesperson, Benjamin Hundeyin, on Sunday. The deceased has however been identified simply as Emmanuel. According to Hundeyin, the Mosafejo Division of the command was alerted of the incident around 1:33 pm. The police immediately dispatched a team of detectives to the scene Hundeyin noted that the case had been transferred to the Railway Police Command in Ebute Metta for further investigation.
