The Enugu State Police has dismissed and arraigned inspector Joseph Ozonwanji, over the killing of Enugu musician, Chikezie Okezie Nwamba also known as Igbo Jah. This was disclosed by the police spokesperson in Enugu State, Daniel Ndukwe, on Monday. The order is following an orderly room trial conducted by the Enugu State Police Command after being implicated in the case. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA), has Intercepted consignments of opioids concealed in soles of shoes and hair attachments heading to the United States, United Kingdom and Cyprus. A statement by the NDLEA spokesman, Femi Babafemi on Sunday in Abuja stated that operatives of the agency at the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja Lagos intercepted the consignments. Following the collapse of a building in Abuja, the police has confirmed that five persons have been rescued. This was disclosed in a statement by the FCT Police Public Relations Officer, Josephine Adeh on Sunday. According to the statement, preliminary investigations revealed that the building was previously demolished by authorities of the FCT due to being located in an illegally acquired area. The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has discovered an underground storage of illicit drugs in Lekki. This was disclosed by the NDLEA Spokesperson, Femi Babafemi, on Sunday. A video sighted by NPO Reports showed the moment operatives of the agency bursted the storage facility. The drugs were discovered underground in the bedroom of a suspect. According to Babafemi, the suspect stores illicit drugs, covers it with padlocked iron plate, rug & covers it with his mattress on which he sleeps.
