It also seeks to establish Oyo as the capital of the newly proposed state. Leading the debate on the bill, Adeyemi established that the bill was not entirely new to the parliament. The Peoples Democratic Party Governors’ Forum (PDP-GF) has dismissed a report that its Chairman Gov. Bala Mohammed filed a suit against the party National Executive Council (NEC) meeting. This was disclosed in a statement by the Lagos Police Command Public Relations Officer, Benjamin Hundeyin on Tuesday.
